Avoid Costly Mistakes by Knowing When to Buy Your Electronics

If you’re reading this, you’re likely on some type of electronic device like a computer, a phone, or a tablet.

So when do you plan to upgrade your electronics?

If you’re like me, you don’t want to buy a new computer when there is a new version coming out a week or two later. The same goes for the rest of my electronics.

Knowing when to buy an electronic used to be a process of luck and maybe reading some rumor sites to ensure you weren’t making a costly mistake.

Technology changes quickly, and if you’re not in the know you’re likely to make purchasing mistakes that can cost you a lot of money and frustration.

Now there’s a new way to make purchasing choices when it comes to electronics.

How to Know With Confidence When to Buy Electronics

How Decide Works

Here’s how it works: Decide uses an algorithm to collate data and come up with predictions on price, new models, and other changes in different lines of electronics.

You can set an alert to be notified when there’s a change for a product that you’re interested in buying. That means you’ll be the first to know if there’s a price drop, if there’s a new version coming out, or if there are no changes you might need to bite the bullet and buy it now.

You can also use the Decide algorithm to figure out whether you want to buy the latest electronics or not.

In the past I’ve been a little overeager when a new laptop came out, and I got burned by buying the very first few laptops off the conveyer belt. In this case it meant they had to replace my new laptop’s hard drive because it died within the first week.

But now with Decide, you can also put off your buying decision and make sure that you’re buying a “tried and tested” version instead of the one that might still need a little tweak here and there.

Timing Matters

When to buy electronics?

Of course, if your current computer is on its last legs, you’ll probably just want to buy immediately. But if you have a little bit of wiggle room in terms of timing, you can actually save money, and feel confident that you’re buying the best electronics out there that will last the longest.

I like to think that buying electronics less frequently, but buying the latest one with the highest technical specs, is a way that we can reduce our footprint on the environment.

If you like to be at the forefront of technology and buy the latest gadgets every time they come out, then Decide will also help you with that.

Over to you now!
