The Lean Startup – What Creative Entrepreneurs Can Learn From Startups

I’ve recently had the pleasure of reviewing the book The Lean Startup by Eric Ries. It’s geared toward start ups, naturally, but there are so many take aways that apply to online business owners, creative entrepreneurs, and solopreneurs… I just had to share them with you.

I’ve personally worked at two different start ups in my day as a Software Engineer, and I think that my experience would have been totally different had this book been around then.

There’s a reason that being lean and nimble is an advantage for solopreneurs and online business owners. This book can help us all take it to the next level!

You know I love doing pivots and starting new businesses… but where else can you apply this concept of iteration in your business to improve your offerings or products?

How lean are your businesses?

If you’ve already picked up your copy of The Lean Startup: How Today’s Entrepreneurs Use Continuous Innovation to Create Radically Successful Businesseslean startup I’d love to know what you thought. Oh, and feel free to leave some gushy love to my dog Millie who totally stole the show. As soon as she saw me sit down on the floor, she knew she’d be making her mark on YouTube!

How lean do you consider your business to be? Could it be improved? Let me know in the comments!
