Hackers. They’re real, and they’re not always as hot as Angelina Jolie was in the Hackers movie.
Coincidentally, I happen to have an autographed copy of the movie Hackers. I met Angelina Jolie back in 2003 when she was filming a movie in my hood. You can see my teen-self with Angelina in the photo to the right here.
Hacker jokes aside…
Here’s the situation as it stands right now: it’s fairly easy for hackers to get into your WordPress site or any of your online accounts for one simple reason.
Your password is not strong enough. Don’t worry, I’ve been there. Remembering a super complex password is no fun, and once you come up with a password that’s acceptable it’s tempting to re-use it everywhere.
If that sounds familiar to you, you need to watch this video right now, before it’s too late:
My Recommendation
That’s where the 1Password application comes to the rescue. It allows you to create an unlimited number of complex passwords, without having to remember each one. Just remember the 1 password and you’re good to go.
1Password retrieves your passwords when you’re at the login screen, and is available on many devices including the iPhone, iPad, and Android. So you don’t need to remember your passwords when you’re on the road either.
I’m not associated or affiliated with 1Password, it’s just a program that I’ve been using for years and want to pass on to you. Think of it as doing my part to make the web a little safer.
I really recommend that you check out 1Password and start adding a little muscle to your passwords.
