The Written Recap

Art of Non-Conformity

First, I need to say that I’m a voracious reader, and for the past 3 years I’ve been reading upwards of 52 books per year. So keep that in mind when I say nice things about this book, kay?

Okay, so let’s start with the title… The Art of Non-Conformity: Set Your Own Rules, Live the Life You Want, and Change the World. That’s a pretty tough thing to promise, mostly because most of us don’t really know what a life on our own terms means, and changing the world is such a big task. Right? Right?

Well Chris has a way of making it all seem doable. Not only does he share great insights from his own unconventional life, but there are some great examples from other people’s lives too. I really felt inspired after reading this book, and sometimes that’s all that’s missing to make stuff happen.

I also loved the comparison between the traditional “go to school” option versus today’s build a business option. As you know, I’m all about making conscious choices in life, and Chris really takes a look at how we can make more of them.

If you’re running out of steam, or you’re tired of the status quo then this is the book you need to pick up next.
